U.S. natural-gas futures fell about 3% on lower demand forecasts

On October 12, U.S. natural-gas futures fell about 3% as forecasts showed less demand the following week; Pennsylvania spot prices fell to their lowest since 2020. The decline came despite output falling to a four-month low and gas flows to LNG export plants reaching a five-month high.
