Norfolk Southern reported record third-quarter revenue of $3.5 billion, railway operating income of $1.2 billion, a 67.4% operating ratio and diluted EPS of $3.37; excluding merger-related and Eastern Ohio incident effects, adjusted EPS was $3.62 and adjusted operating ratio was 65.4%.
