Aerospace and defense shares fell as oil prices climbed

On October 23, Reuters reported the UK aerospace and defense sector fell 4.6% to a more-than-five-month low as oil prices topped $115 a barrel. Rolls-Royce fell 7.6% and Safran lost 10%; the report linked the declines to high oil, risk aversion and concern over slower aftermarket growth.
