USDA selects eight fertilizer projects totaling more than $1.34 billion

On October 22, USDA selected eight projects representing over $1.34 billion in proposed investment, including about $573 million in proposed USDA funding. USDA estimated added production could reduce nitrogen fertilizer prices by 4.4% and increase domestic nitrogen production by 3.7% once projects are operational—a potential competitive and pricing headwind for CF.
