ConocoPhillips to reduce workforce in Canada

On Oct. 26, ConocoPhillips said Canadian employee and contractor reductions would take place Oct. 27; it did not disclose the number affected. Reuters reported COP shares were up marginally in afternoon trading. The company had previously announced a 20%–25% workforce reduction as part of restructuring after acquiring Marathon Oil.
