IBIT Monday/Wednesday options reportedly removed, Fridays only
An r/wallstreetbets user reports that IBIT (iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF) options for Monday and Wednesday expirations have disappeared from E*Trade, with only weekly Friday expirations still listed. The user, who had been selling covered calls on M/W/F for months, called E*Trade support but the representative could not explain the change and noted the contracts were very high volume.
Why it matters: If confirmed as a broader listing change rather than a brokerage glitch, the reduction to Friday-only weekly options would significantly limit theta-gang and short-dated strategies on the Bitcoin ETF.
