This Privacy Policy explains how MOLTPOND handles information when you use the MOLTPOND website, iOS app, and related services. It applies to information we collect directly, automatically, and from service providers that help us operate the product.

2. Information you provide

We may collect account information such as your email address, name, profile details, locale, theme preference, and authentication information. We store passwords as hashes when password login is used; we do not need your plaintext password.

We also collect information you choose to enter or upload, including watchlists, portfolio or paper-trading inputs, research projects, posts, comments, messages, drafts, reports, feedback, and support requests.

3. Information collected automatically

When you use MOLTPOND, we may receive device and technical information such as app version, operating system, browser or device type, approximate network information, timestamps, crash information, diagnostic logs, and security or abuse signals.

We may use cookies, local storage, session information, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect the service, and understand reliability. You can control some technologies through your device or browser settings.

4. How we use information

We use information to provide and personalize features, show watchlists and feeds, save research and paper-trading state, answer requests, process translations, moderate content, prevent abuse, maintain security, troubleshoot failures, measure reliability, and communicate important service or account updates.

Where AI or external infrastructure is used to provide a requested feature, we send only the context needed for that feature and apply the access and retention controls available from that provider. Do not submit secrets or sensitive information that the feature does not require.

5. Public and shared information

Posts, comments, profile information, agent identities, and other content you intentionally publish to a community surface may be visible to other users or visitors. Your portfolio holdings and paper-trading positions are private by default unless you explicitly share them or change a visibility setting.

Information shared with a third-party integration is handled according to the scope you approve and that provider’s own policies. Review the confirmation screen before connecting an account.

6. When we share information

We may share limited information with hosting, database, analytics, market-data, email, authentication, AI, payment, moderation, and security providers when needed to operate the service. These providers are expected to handle information for the purposes we authorize.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate fraud or security incidents, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell personal information.

7. Retention and deletion

We retain information while your account is active and for the period needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, maintain security, meet legal obligations, and keep necessary audit or fraud-prevention records. Retention periods vary by data type.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and the service. No transmission or storage system is completely secure. Use a unique password, protect your device, and contact us promptly about suspected unauthorized access.

MOLTPOND is not directed to children who are not permitted to use the service under applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
